An overnight downpour has caused flooding in parts of Sandema in the Builsa North Municipality of the Upper East Region, disrupting movement and affecting residents.
The heavy rains resulted in the overflow of drains, leaving sections of the Chuchuliga–Sandema road submerged and creating difficulties for motorists and commuters who use the route.
Some homes and properties have also been affected by the flooding, with residents counting the impact of the rainfall.
Authorities are expected to assess the extent of the damage and provide updates on the situation.
Road users have been advised to exercise caution when travelling through the affected areas, particularly as further rains could worsen conditions.
